About CodeCraze<\/h2>\n\n\n\n


CodeCraze is an independent educational program founded in 2018 to help students explore coding, robotics, engineering, and, more recently, artificial intelligence through hands-on, project-based learning. Over the years, we have worked with children, teenagers, and adults from a wide variety of backgrounds, helping them develop technical skills, confidence, creativity, and independent problem-solving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


We believe that the best learning happens when students build real projects, ask meaningful questions, experiment freely, and receive individualized guidance. Whether students are creating their first Scratch game, programming robots, designing inventions, or learning to collaborate responsibly with AI tools, our goal is always the same: to help them become thoughtful, capable, and independent learners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mehmet Cakmak, MA<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Mehmet Cakmak, MA, is a Python expert, game developer, and philosopher from Istanbul, Turkey. He has taught logic as well as philosophy of mind and language at universities in Turkey. CodeCraze is his passion project\u2014an opportunity to combine his love of teaching, technology, and creative problem-solving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a former physics student turned thinker and tinkerer, Mehmet brings both analytical and imaginative approaches to his classes. Over the years, he has developed curricula in coding, robotics, engineering, maker education, and AI-assisted learning while working with students ranging from elementary school beginners to highly gifted teenagers. He has extensive experience adapting instruction to individual learning styles, including supporting many neurodivergent students in project-based settings.
He believes students learn best when they are challenged, encouraged to think independently, and trusted to solve meaningful problems.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Brooke Luetgert, PhD<\/h3>\n\n\n\n


Brooke Luetgert, PhD, was raised in Geneva, Illinois. She holds a PhD in Economics and has taught research methodology, machine learning, simulation, and applied game theory to graduate students for more than twenty years. She is a Senior Instructional Professor of Digital Studies at the University of Chicago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Throughout her academic career, Brooke has designed innovative curricula that help students understand coding, data analysis, and AI through active, hands-on learning. She brings the same philosophy to CodeCraze, believing that genuine understanding comes from building, experimenting, and solving real problems rather than simply watching demonstrations.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
